Victoria Falls is a waterfall destination in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between the Zambezi National Park of Zambia and the Mana Pools National Park of Zimbabwe. The falls are 1,708 m (5,604 ft) wide and 108 m (354 ft) high, making
them one of the widest and tallest waterfalls in the world. 

This natural wonder is also one of Southern Africa’s most popular tourist destinations and attracts over 1 million tourists annually. The Zambezi River rises near Mount Kilimanjaro in northern Tanzania, East Africa at an altitude of 3,810 meters above sea level. 

It flows southwards through Zambia before entering Livingstone Falls and then plunging over Victoria Falls. From there, it continues to flow through Botswana before ending at Lake Ngami is just west of Gaborone where it joins other rivers such as the Chobe River
which drains from Chobe National Park back into Namibia via Okavango Delta – all these being major wildlife reserves for elephant migration routes during rainy seasons (November-March).
